Just seemed to get worse and worse
If you see Gomer Pyle U.S.M.C in black and white, you are usually in for a funny half hour.Once the show was in color, the character Gomer changed from a lovable small town fellow to the prissiest marine I have ever known! Gomer was downright feminine by the time it was all said and done.In one episode he courts some junior high girl around and winds up going to a party at her friends house!Come on!How many grown servicemen would go hang out a party full of junior high kids??RIDICULOUS!This is just one of many dumb plots that surfaced once Gomer went to color.Watch him on The Andy Griffith Show, he is a riot.P.S. The Andy Griffith show also went sour once it turned to color.
