Mindless, Mediocre Fun
You could view this show as a version of "Dennis the Menace", where Ensign Parker (Tim Conway) is Dennis and Capt. Binghamton (Joe Flynn) is Mr. Wilson. But this comedy is even less sophisticated, more in line with "F Troop".Ernest Borgnine provides a one-note performance because that is what the scripts require. Tim Conway's comedy talent is underused, as demonstrated by his hilarious work on Carol Burnett's show.
