A Very Good, Somewhat Forgotten Western........
I stumbled across this movie recently when it aired on AMC and was pleasantly surprised. Gregory Peck is excellent, as usual, in a role where the character is a bit mean and hard-hearted at times but probably realistic for the Old West.The supporting cast is excellent including veterans like Stephen Boyd, Lee Van Cleef, Henry Silva, Albert Salmi and a very beautiful and young Joan Collins.
A good story line with some neat twists and above average cinematography including some well-filmed nightime scenes and of course breathtaking scenery. Highly recommended.
