Gutted, need some advice.

Bought my dream car June 2017 a Jaguar XFR 5.0L V8 with 94k on the clock. I have done about 2k miles In it so far. I went to get it out the garage the day before the snow storms hit and it cut out. Got it towed to my local independent specialist and they think that the cam chains have stretched and is throwing the cam timing out. The cost to repair is £5k!!
They are willing to write a report saying that the fault must have been present when I purchased the car.
Should the garage I bought it from help with the costs?

I take it you didn’t get a Warranty with it?

No.

Did you pay by credit card?

Report might help, as you need to prove the fault was present when you bought the car.

No got a loan from my bank.

How much did you pay and where from?
If it was approved used or similar then I'd be speaking to the garage anyway.
I'd also have a chat with your local main dealer and spend a bit of time researching the fault yourself.
£5K is a lot of money if they "think" the cam chains have stretched not "know" that they have.
Gutted for you.

They were taking the cam covers off today to check timing marks etc. So it's not concrete that is the issue. So still waiting to hear back. I' just trying to prepare myself for the worst.
I did phone the main dealer in my town for a second quote and should get a call tomorrow. Took me 8 years to save for a car like this now I just feel sick.

I’d try and get the manufacturer to contribute as i assume that the chain is lifetime?

That's an amazing car, so I really hope this works out for you.

Normally. Assuming oil and filter changes are kept on top of.
