Cover\Case for Kindle

Not really a book question but quite related.

I have a Kindle and want a case for it.I'm considering three options

(i) A genuine Kindle leather (non-light) for about £28
Well made. Looks good.Leather.Minimum size. Neat fixing without elastic loops - though I have read some complaints about it working loose.

(ii) An M-Edge Executive plus m-edge e-luminator for about £35
Well made. Looks good. Not leather (PU).Adds swidth to store light.

(iii) A generic PU case for about £10
Does the job.Cheap.Actually quite well made.

So what do you have?Any recommendations.

Cheers,

Nigel

Hi mate,

This one seemed quite popular over in the other Kindle thread, and I had mine delivered this week:

DURAGADGET Black Genuine Finest Nappa Leather Book: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics

Low cost, but still a nice quality, the Kindle fits well, and the magnetic clasp holds it all closed together really nicely.

Gets a thumbsup from me anyway data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Thanks for the link - pretty cheap given it is leather.

I've seen this or a similar design elsewhere and he two main criticisms were

(i) The cut-out limits access to the keys at the edge of the keyboard (epescially the top edge)

(ii) The kindle is held by sliding it into an envelope. If you accidentally pick it up upside down it can slide out.

But certainly worth a look.

Cheers,

Nigel

I rather fancy this one with the built-in stand. It woud be useful if you read whilst eating, as I sometimes do when by myself.

Perhaps a bit of velcro on the top edge would hold it.

I eventually found one for under a tenner in ebay and it is *real* leather !!

Took 5 tries as they were all PU otherwise, even when claiming "real leather"

DURAGADGET Black Genuine Finest Nappa Leather Book Style

I don't think they are real leather although they are a very good PU.I think the Style is very carefully positioned in the text...It's the one I wrote a mini-review on in the other thread.

Regarding your concerns, the cut out doesn't limit access to the keys at all. It's also a snug fit and couldn't possibly fall out.

Just thought I'd chuck my tuppence worth in here. I have this one:

DURAGADGET Black Leather Case/Cover With Adjustable: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics

No light or anything, but then I rarely read in the dark anyway, and the little stand thing at the back is great for being lazy on long train journeys. data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

I have the official Kindle leather one and have had no problems. When I put it on the shelf it looks like some kind of ancient intellectual book too which is a bonus! data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7
