The Queen is already involved in politics and democracy. It is an absurd situation in the modern era but that is really a seperate issue. The salient point is, if we must have an unelected and unaccountable head of state, we should be able to expect them to discharge their duties with due diligence.

I'm not in favour of the monarchy, but this is complete nonsense.

The Queen has discharged her duty exactly as she should. She has taken no position and has struck strictly to accepting the advice of the elected government.

And I'll repeat again, if she had exercised political judgment in anything you'd be the first to complain about her doing so.

The Government hasn't been elected. It is a zombie minority administration.

Whilst I can appreciate frustration and disagreement, to me it is posts like that which simply detract from any valid points that may have been made.

There is no need for you to get frustrated or worry about disagreement, we all have different views and that is fine data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

From memory the Tories 'won' the 2017 general election, but lost their parliamentary majority and had to 'fiddle' an additional 10 votes from the DUP - something to do with a 'confidence and supply' arrangement, I think.

Just checked: the Tories got 318 seats   10 DUP seats = 328 seats. The Tories needed 326 seats to win. So they 'won'.

...But I see what you mean.

Agreed, it really is a separate issue...data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

She is entirely neutral. You'd complain if she was biased.
She does. She does exactly as her democratically elected ministers advise.

Best have a general election soon then.

...or form a Government of national unity. Certainly the current impasse can't continue for long.
