If we left the EU, what would happen to the rights of europeans who live in the UK?

Stuey1 Publish time 26-11-2019 01:35:02

I think the general consensus would be that it would be too difficult and probably outright wrong to do anything other than let them stay. I don't think there is any legal precendent set though

** Assumes you mean non-british EU citizens as brits are also european data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Yeah I do

It would be an interesting one, as I've got a lot of friends who live here, who are originally from the continent..... And actually I'd quite like to move to the continent at some point.

Also I was wondering if Farage's wife would have to leave the country, as she's not from the UK.

UK and the EU: Better off out or in? - BBC News

I think it was this article I remembered it from, I would imagine it would just be far too much hassle and I guess you would struggle from a legal aspect as they have moved here within the rules but it would all presumably have to be negotiated should it get to that stage

Why would she? She's married to a Brit so she is legally allowed to stay.

I can't see us kicking all 10 million (more or less) of them back outdata:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Though, i think we have more than enough Eastern European car washers mind.

Going forward it's more a case of stemming the hundreds of thousands that are coming each year.

He's french isn't he?

Edit: It seems he's German descent.

I wouldn't put it past Farage to try and do so........ at the end of the day he employs National Front members, so his morals are questionable at best.

Born in kent to english parents, his name apparently comes from a relatively distant ancestor

When did he take charge of all this? even if we left it has absolutely nothing to do with him... or are we just having digs at him for fun?
