Been a grim year for shareholders so i'm indeed smirking a little right now.

Not too much though as it could just as easy be back down to £2.20 again when the next sell-off comesdata:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

On the other hand, still one of the most shorted FTSE100 stocks and those 200 odd million shares have to be bought back some time..

I have noticed there are distinct patterns to the daily fluctuations in shareprices.
Possibly an artefact of all the computerised trading.

Anyone else noticed that since the BRICS nations setup the New Development Bank, essentially challenging the 'might' of the US dollar all their currencies have fallen against the dollar. Initially, they all strengthened to the dollar, though it did not last long.
Worst effected was initially the Russian Ruble, now also the Brazilian Real and SA Rand. If I was a conspiracy theorist...

Russia - oil/gas down, alienated others especially with the invasion of Ukraine and Crimea so their customers go elsewhere plus a world leader in large scale corruption
Brazil - wood and other natural resources down, dependant on China as a market
South Africa - collapsing in on itself
No need for a conspiracy.

5952 at the close. That was a bit of a crash.Oil down even further too.Thankfully I don't have huge quantities of money invested anywhere so I don't lose sleep. But it is, even so, a little worrying.
