But in which case lets have no PS then there is no cost at all. I know thats a stupid point to make but they have been denied for awhile now. Tax revenue and NI/VAT revenue must go up year on year. Has the goverment used this money to make the country better or pissed it away on leaflets/lunches/advisors/HS2 etc. Wasting money the same as they accuse the NHS etc of.
To "punish" PS at every turn must do nothing for morale in a sector where some you can actually use the words heros.

There are plenty in the private sector who would be glad of a guaranteed 1% per year pay rise and the sort of pension the PS get.
