A sensible looking solution proposed here:

The ride that never ends,

Poland and Hungary are being sued by the EU for taking in no refugees

Well, that's what happens when the EU tries to impose so called "quotas" onto individual countries, which some people don't seem to understand //static.avforums.com/styles/avf/smilies/facepalm.gif

The UK (rightly) refused to have anything to do with this ridiculous attempt to share out the pain as there was no legal obligation for us to do so. If Hungary, Poland the the Czech Republic decide they do not wish to admit illegal immigrants into their countries, then the EU has got no business trying to force them to do so. I think the Czech Republic have been quite generous accepting 12.

I guess the EU doesn't understand"We're Full". Countries dont have the resources to keep taking people in. The effect trickles down to the working class when taxes have to be increased to fund new housing, benefits, medical care etc.

Why not put some camps up in brussels.

I hope the 3 countries mentioned about, tell the EU what they can do with their scandalous "quotas" system.

Am pretty amazed that Italy hasn't cracked, so far.

Sooner or later, something will give.

Maybe if they kept the EU parliament in Brussels full time instead of moving to Strasbourg once a month they could put some immigrants up in the Strasbourg building data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Well, the EU have made the situation ten times worse by providing a safe taxi service from North Africa to Italy.

If they were serious about addressing the problem, they would set up EU/UN run camps in Libya or elsewhere in North Africa, and everyone picked up in the Med would be taken back to these camps in North Africa.

Do you know what, I have a little, sneaking suspicion that all of a sudden, these people would be much less keen to jump on a rubber dingy once they realised that they would not end up in the EU, courtesy of an EU rescue ship.

But didn't you realise Dom, "quotas" are the answer. Apparently data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7
