Do I need to inform my car insurance after a heart attack . I know I don't have to inform the DVLA.
Thanks

Probably:
Do I need to let my car insurance company know?
Yes. Whatever type of licence you hold you should always let your car insurance company know about your heart condition and any changes in your medical condition, including any treatment that you’ve had. If you don’t, your car insurance may not be valid.

Other types of insurance, such as travel and life insurance may also be affected by your heart condition. It’s important to let your insurer know about changes to your health. For more information, see our help for finding insurance with a heart condition.

Umm weird. When I tried to kill myself I had to surrender my licsene for three month after. When I recontacted my insurance company after three months I asked if I had to inform them on why I had to surrender my licsene on medical grounds and they said "no, we don't even ask medical questions for car insurance, all we need to know is are the dvla happy for you to drive".

I believe there are different types of car insurance. Some of them do care about you and your car, and some of them just care about the paper you get from them. I don't think I need to say any more data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

I would say your best option is to contact your provider directly and ask them. I wouldn't think you'd need to give your name or policy number just to ask the question over the phone if you are worried.
