Frozen Food in Fridge..

Odd thing, this morning I opened the fridge and found the cucumber, mushrooms and carrots near the bottom of the fridge were frozen!

The only things that have happened recently is that yesterday the fridge was ajar and the butter melted a bit.

And last night I put semi-defrosted prawns in the fridge overnight to continue defrosting whilst keeping 'fresh'.

I was going to see how it was for the next few days, or does anyone think something more serious was wrong?

Cheers

I had exactly the same problem a few years back, one day items in the bottom froze, this happened a few times over a week and then it died the weekend after, I believe the motor failed data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Sounds like you have just got your fridge turned up a bit too high. Also it might have automatically over compensated from when it was left ajar.

I'm fairly sure it's leaving the door adjar that will cause this problem. It forces the fridge to work harder, basically trying to cool down the room. The stuff nearest the cooling pipework will end up getting frozen.

Ok, thanks that's potentially good news then - could just be a temporary thing.

Unless you overstressed it by leaving the door open for a very long time, it should be temporary data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7
