Eleaf MELO tank

Does anyone use a melo tank? I've got an eleaf I stick 30w and have been using various tanks vivi nova, ce5, iclear30s, and a bad experience with an orchid v6 (nothing to do with the orchid v6, my hands are just not built to make my own coils etc, too fiddly)!
I would like to try a sub ohm coil, and the melo looks like the one to try with the istick.

On a different note, would anyone like a perfect condition orchid v6? Possibly swap with something else?

Are you manually wrapping coils or using a jig like the kuro coiler or coil master? Its hard to go wrong with one of the jigs. I don't recall anyone saying they've got a Melo on the main E-Cig threadbut i was always tempted by one. I got the Lemo 2 instead as I wanted to rebuild. I think they are basically an Aspire Atlantis, and you can interchange the coils with the aspire coils too. I think you can pick them up for about £16 so i would think they are worth the buy.

£11 here if you can wait a week or 2 https://www.fasttech.com/products/0/10011884/2202500-authentic-eleaf-melo-bottom-coil-clearomizer

Manually wrapping the coils, I can get that bit done fairly well, its the wicking with the cotton that I find difficult, never know how much to put in, where to put it, how to stop it leaking etc etc etc.

I'll order one from that link now. Thanks data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

I wouldn't give up on it yet then if it's just wicking, it is a bit of trial and error. I'd use the Melo for now then and practice your wicking. What are you wicking just the orchid you mentioned or do you have others?

What's the diameter of your build you're having issues with?

I've found careful and proper wicking is the key to success with my Subtanks, have a look through Youtube and see if there are any guides.
For example...

There are probably others out there that are similar or provide some sort of wicking set up clues.
You don't have to follow the tutorial coil details exactly, but it might help to do something very similar if you are starting out.

It's the orchid v6 I am having trouble wicking.
The MELO, I have only just ordered, and will just buy replacement coils when needed data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

For a 2.5mm coil id normally use about 10-12mm width cotton.

I have tried 2mm diameter coils, 3mm diameter coils. Using Japanese organic cotton.
I've followed countless different tutorials on wicking, I can get it so it vapes perfectly but leaks like a whores knickers, or doesn't leak, but tastes burned, or doesn't leak, doesn't taste bad, but it's like trying to suck a golf ball through a hose pipe. I've tried adjusting the airflow holes, etc etc, but I can never get it just how I like it. I'm sure a more experienced caper could, but the problem is, every build I do, I waste half a tank of juice. If I only put a few drops in, it leaks more....

I'm about ready to chuck the thing in the bin..... So, anyone want an orchid v6? Lol

Sorry, misread you post! Hope you get something working for you.
