Vape advice for n00b

Hey there peeps,

I'm looking to make the switch from smoking roll ups (roughly 8 a day, GV) to vaping. I've been looking around the internet and there is a crazy amount of advice and information (the thread in this forum helped a lot with clearing stuff up,) and I've been looking at these

Simple Starter Kit – VaperCaper

Innokin itaste VV v3 – VaperCaper

The CE5 kit interests me a lot because it's all there with minimum fuss, however I am aware that the itaste pretty much does everything a MVP does and in future may prove useful, except I know pretty much nothing about using the VV and ohms etc.

I'm on quite a tight budget, 20-25 is the ideal range, 30 is pushing it.Any advice?

Cheers guys!

It's going to be a struggle for that price, but you could go for this battery: Kanger IPOW 2 1600 Mah - Batteries & Chargers and possibly this tank: Protank 3 V2 Dual Coil Clearomiser - Clearomizers

Bear in mind you will need to buy replacement coils and also juice of course. There are a few other tanks for a similar price point that you may prefer.

If budget is that tight I would go for the kit in your first link, like you say you get the lot in one go and you are just trying it out. The CE5 really is old in terms of what is around now but for the purposes of seeing if you get on with vaping it's fine. I still see many people using them.

I'd go for the 1000mah battery too as it will last much longer even if it is on the larger side. Also use code POTV10 when you order for 10% off, you can enter the code after the Paypal screen.

When funds allow and you feel you like vaping post back for more recommendations. Good luck with it all, I was smoking about the same as you about 2 years ago but haven't looked back since switching.

I would recommend the Mini Aerotank over the Mini Protank. I'm just replacing my girlfriends Mini Protanks with Mini Aerotanks. The Mini Protanks are Chromed Brass and not Stainless Steel like the Aerotanks. Aerotank is about £12 from myepack. Also I find the threads on the Mini Protanks aren't very good, they are okay I'm the normal size but the minis threads aren't smooth at all.

If you can wait for a delivery from Fasttech as mentioned in the other thread then I've just received a GenuineiStick Mini from there, for about £14, it took just under 2 weeks to arrive. They have the Aerotanks too if you were going to order from there.

If you can stretch to an itaste vv4 the screen is as lot better and easier to use. I started with that and a Nautilus Mini and vv4. The the Nautilus Mini was too big for it (out of proportion), Protank/Aerotank Mini fits nicely though. So I gave my girlfriend the itaste and got an iStick 30w.

Actually if you want id let one of my 2 stick 30w's go for £20 plus the postage? Ive had it about 5-6 weeks at most. I want to get another 50w and then keep one 30w for work.

Thank you very much for the offer S3rv3d, but unfortunately I don't think I'll be able to stretch to it all yet. I'm looking at buying the 1000mah starter kit on vaper caper, and then later on buying the naturevape n-tank mini and putting that on it when I get a bit more into/used to it. What do you guys think? (Although I suppose I could buy the iStick from you and then buy a cheap CE5 tank to use for the moment. Argh, so confusing!)

Cheers

If your thinking of the naturevape tank buy it here $6.83 RG200 Bottom Coil Clearomizer (2.0mL) - removable glass tank / 1.8 2.2ohm at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

Only £4.50 it's the same tank.

I ordered the starter kit from vapercaper, with the berry cheesecake flavour. I noticed naturevape sell the coils, so I could just buy a kanger protank mini and put the coil in that. Fingers crossed it all goes well!

No probs, just let me know and ill get an add listed on the classifieds if you do. I was only thinking that because you were gonna spend £20 on the vv3, getting abit more for your money, and really from a 30w mod you're not really going to need much more ever unless you got into 0.15ohm builds, which isn't the majority.

I know what i said about the Mini Protank and its threads but for £6 you can't moan, if you can grab a unicoil from them too, you won't need to buy replacements. just re wick. Kanger Mini Protank 3 | Virtual Vape

Edit: seen your post.
