Ps4 Pro or XBOX for 4k
I am a PS4 owner and always been a loyal PlayStation fan, but as I will be going 4k soon witch is the better Gamming option, do I go pro or XBOX. In terms of raw power, the Xbox is streets ahead. Using both a One X and a PS4 Pro, I’d say the interface on PS is better for me, but the PQ and HDR performance of the Xbox blows me away. Xbox games pass gives some really good games for the monthly fee, haven’t had to buy a game in a while.I know that PS Plus is available, but didn’t seem to be as much choice.
Depends what matters to you... the PS exclusive game titles mean that I’d never abandon it I don't intend to leave the PlayStation Family, just looking at the best 4k option until the PS5 ect. Unless you can get a Pro cheap your better off saving your money for the PS5 at the end of next year which is the likely launch target, at least thats my view. If money is not an issue sure get a Pro if that deep in the Playstation pool.
I've owned both, as to what I used Xbox for
* Better support for XB1X on third party games - but PS4 Pro was good enough & I've lot interest in many AAA releases.
* back compatible with old Xbox games - a nice trip down memory lane but lots of old games are now getting remasters.
* Quieter than PS4 Pro by a lot - the big difference, the Pro is a noisy machine, eventually I did something about it and applied some suggested mods to the Pro which lowers the noise a bit.
But after the above I sold my XB1X as I just didn't use it that much.
My scenario may not apply to you, if you do want the overall best 4K performance on third party games the XB1X has it. Thanks for that info.
