My 1st ever Games console, excited but advice needed about Sony PS4 PRO

Hi there guys

I have a Panasonic TX-55CX802, it has latest software on it, I'm about to buy a PS4 PRO console in 2 days time, my first ever games console.. I've been hearing that this new PS4 switches off and gives a black screen on some makes and models of TV's? It's all over the internet!

What settings do I need to change on my TV when I first plug the PS4 PRO into the telly? and do you also need to change settings on the actual console as well? It seems a bit daunting as this is my first ever games console lol!

I also have a Denon AVR-X2200W and not sure how to wire console up to it to get the best out of it data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Thanks very much

Don't think it's a good idea to post your mobile & email address on a public forum. As well as helpful forum members, scammers & web scrapers are on the lookout for useful data.

The majority of users shouldn't experience issues with the PS4 Pro, if they do it may be because they're doing something wrong. I have a PS4 Pro and Samsung KS9000 and it runs perfectly (looks amazing!).
- Check if your A/V receiver supports 4K, if not then connect the PS4 Pro directly to the TV and use another HDMI cable to send the sound from the TV to AV Receiver using ARC (audio return channel).
- Use the HDMI cable that comes with the PS4 Pro, or one of the same compatibility.
- You should just be able to use the remote to select whichever HDMI slot the PS4 Pro is plugged into to get it up on the screen.
- TV Settings: Change to game mode to get the lowest latency between the game pad and what you see on the screen, other settings I'm not sure on as this will be specific to the TV, maybe worth googling it. There may be a HDMI Black Level on your settings that you can select as light or dark, think it's most likely you need this on dark. For brightness/contrast settings also find a game that has a calibration section as this is usually quite accurate. I set mine up right for Fifa 17 as you can't actually change the in game settings on here, then just adjust the in game settings for other games if necessary.
- PS4 Pro settings: By default everything should be set to automatic and work okay, but post again here if it doesn't.

Guys!

Just setting up my PS4 PRO and it says this on my screen about HDR not supported, but my Panasonic does have HDR?

it's a Panasonic TX-55CX802

How do I turn HDR on?

The PS4 PRO is connected straight to my AV amp then from AV amp into ARC HDMI 2 socket on the telly

Check on your tv picture settings, there may be something to activate hdr on the hdmi ports. On my Samsung you have to go to help uhd colour and activate the hdmi ports individually, see if there's similar on your Panasonic. Also check you have the latest software update.

Sorted guys! I had to go here and change HDMI 2 To MODE 2 for some reason, no idea why? But now it says this, happy days

Good to go I think?
