Need a gaming laptop (UK)

Hey guys. I have a budget of £1200 but it must be curry’s (uk) as I have vouchers.

Gaming laptops - Cheap   Gaming laptops Deals | Currys

I’m hoping to play games at good specs and good FPS.

Thanks in advance.

Currys are expensive, but I would go for this
ACER Predator Triton 500 15.6" Intel® Core™ i5 RTX 2060 Gaming Laptop - 256 GB SSD

Thanks. Appreciate it. So this would play all games at top spec? How much would a similar laptop cost outside of curry’s

It has a 144hz screen so it will unlikely hit 144hz in every game now. As to what else you can buy have a look at the usual suspects, scan, overclockers etc

Is there any chance there’s a laptop from curry’s around £1000 ish that would do the job

I would not buy from Currys, I had a faulty laptop from them and it turned into a complete farce trying to get them to fix it, that was a few years ago but I doubt things have changed much. Try this place www.pcspecialist.co.uk you can configure your own or take one off the shelf preconfigured.

Thanks for the heads up. I always get the insurance and I’ve never had a problem. Could you recommend one from curry’s for around £1k?

I wouldn’t know where to start building my own

So is the Predator ACER Triton 500 the best I can get for this kind of money from this site?

You could look at the HP Omen for £1250, similar graphics performance to the Triton but lacks the cores for ray tracing (which is why its cheaper). Worth noting there is only a couple of RTX games available atm. The cpu is also better on the omen (I7 9series v I5 8series with the ACER) also there is more storage on the SSD (512gb v 256gb) considering games are sometimes 50-100gb the Triton will fill up fast.

Neither represent good value though considering for £1200 you can get 2070RTX based laptops from vendors such as those mentioned by @Delvey

cheers

So is the Triton 700 better for a little less than the Triton 500? It’s £1269 ‍https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/gh/joypixels/[email protected]/png/64/2642.png Or is the Triton 500 better?
