Looking at the price of changing the broken screen of mobile phone , repair it or buy a new phone?

As the screen ratio continues to increase, the risk of broken screens of mobile phones is also growing, and it is broken when accidentally. And the price of changing a screen is too expensive, sometimes looking at the price on the repair order, think about it is better to buy a new mobile phone.

Was in that position....

Samsung galaxy s9, screen repair £220,or a few quid more to buy out current contract and get a new phone - went for a huawei p30, free phone, cheaper tariff and cheaper handset if I wanted to buy out again (O2 refresh), plus should be able to sell broken screen phone on ebay for a few quid which will bring the cost of my new one well under that of a screen repair

So in my particular case - better to buy new. I also like O2 refresh where you have 2 parts to the bill, handset and tariff - if you ever want to come out early you only pay the remaining handset cost and not the rest of the tarrif
