Pixel 3 opinions

Hi all,

I'm tempted to get a Pixel 3 due to some great cheap deals of late. Saw one for 24 quid a month. Currently using the OnePlus 5, which is a great phone - fast, good screen and brilliant battery life and amazing fast charge. Even after almost 2 years it's still good.

My only real gripe is the snapper isn't great.

The deal I saw was with mobiles.co.uk so I'm looking for thoughts on them as a company and the phone itself.
What's it like to live with?
How is the battery? I tend to use tune in radio at work for a few hours. A little clash of clans, social media and web browsing. I don't play taxing mobile games but I'd probably take more photos than I do now.
Have the bugs been ironed out with it? I read there was a memory management bug, does the 4gb ram affect it?
Has the phone's performance held up over time?

Sorry for all the questions. I might just stick with the OnePlus to save money but 24 quid a month is hard to ignore....

I feel the same with my OP5, it's a fantastic performing phone, but I don't like the pictures produced by OnePlus' camera app. The OnePlus camera app isn't good on the 3T either.

If you feel comfortable rooting your OP5, you can use the ported Google Camera on it. I haven't done this to mine, but I do use the ported Google Camera on my 3T, however, that doesn't require rooting or any fiddling make it work.

Check out MKBHD's Google Pixel videos. He does great tech reviews and has covered the Pixel performance issues in everyday use.

Yeah I wouldn't root it either, can't be bothered to be honest and I'd worry about something going wrong.

What I don't want is to trade one issue for another. My concern is the small amount of ram in the pixel and that I've heard it's been buggy thus far.
It'd really annoy me to end up with a laggy phone in everyday use after the OnePlus.

I also considered a huawei mate 20 but I don't think I could suffer their software.

I'd pop onto the Pixel Forum (Pixel 3 section) and do a bit of research, like most phones, it's not without some issues !!

Mobile.co.uk is sister company of Carphone Warehouse. Have used them before, had no issues.

Decided to go for the mate 20 pro in the end. Although the pixel camera is great I realised the battery life would bother me coming from a OnePlus 5. Also the 4gb ram and reports of slow down put me off.

Oh dear. What a nightmare with DPD and mobiles.co.uk.
Delivery driver said he'd tried to deliver yesterday despite the fact 3 people were home. Arranged to pick it up this morning so went to the depot to be told the website shouldn't have arranged that and the parcel was locked away and they can't access it on a Sunday.
Called mobiles and they were hopeless. They told me DPD were closed today despite the fact I'd just told them I was at their depot and had spoken to them on the phone already! Jesus wept.
I was gonna cancel it but I can only imagine the utter ball ache that would be so now I'll need to go there after work tomorrow.
Never again...
