Acusense is part of the new easyIP 4 range of cameras.This was supposed to be released late last year but now states Q1 this year … albeit still nothing.This is the system I am also waiting for as well.

Thanks I looked into this and found the following which I stole from another forum, it looks like that system will not be available in the UK for some time;

Further, following a meeting with Hikvision on Friday:
EasyIP 4.0 is not coming to the UK for the foreseeable.No plans for ColorVu / AccuSense IP models for the foreseeable.The only imminent new camera model highlights will be 6MP and 8MP DarkFighter models in the G1 family (ETA UK approx. Although the cameras do appear to be available on eBay, I assume these are grey imports.

Really disappointing if that's the case.
Having spent a considerable amount of money on my 4k system last year i was very disappointed with the constant false alarms & looking forward to replacing this with a more reliable & accurate system within a reasonable budget.
You'd think with all the technology available & huge demand for security, someone could develop a more reliable system.

Hmm, i think ill look in to this as may be a decent proposition to consider..

Just had a quick look & the one im interested in is the new model - DS-2CD2346G1-I/SL 4 MP IR Fixed Turret Network Camera-Hikvision, although doesn't seem available to buy anyway..

That's not a HikVision thing, you just can't rely on camera motion detection for external cameras for any brand.

Be interesting to see how AcuSense does, trying to workout if pixel changes represent a real security threat or not.

A more robust solution would be a separate PIR sending a signal to one of the alarm channels in the NVR. You'd still get occasional false positives, but they'd be much less often.

The only difference between this one and the one on eBay appears to be "/SL" at the end of the model name, do you know what the SL means? The only difference in specs that I noticed is that the the SL is available with 8mm lens while the other is not. The smart detection specs look identical.

Yeah i'm aware it is an issue on all camera manufacturers (i think) due to the nature of their detection systems, but at the end of the day most people buy cameras for the notifications to pre-empt a burglary, well at least i do..

I think the SL line has a strobe light & speaker built in which would be mighty useful...
