Registering Toshiba Enterprise Hard drive

Does anyone know where to register for the 5 year warranty.

Ive tried ringing, website, twitter and facebook.

Looks difficult contacting them if you actually get a problem. They dont seem to be wanting any contact.

Suggestions ???

Don't know if it will help but here is a link to their Storage Support. Fill in the form and send it and supposedly as you have supplied your email address, your comment should prompt them to send you an email.

Thanks techquest. Yes I have filled in that form but didnt even get an auto acknowledgement. Still struggling to get any response or contact with them. I would think twice now about buying any further Toshiba drives

Yes that's not what you would call Customer Service, they should be ashamed of themselves. Will take a look and see if there's another way of making them do what they should.

Just had a thought you could try using the Resolver link below, which is run by MoneySaving Expert. I have guided people through this for complaints about other companies and it generally gets a result.

Do you need to register?

HDD warranties are done by the drive serial #.
Seagate require you to register for the data recovery service they offer on some pro drives.
Otherwise never had to register a drive, always go via an RMA.

Worryingly I get the following message :- Out Of Warranty

Serial number determined to be sold to a system manufacturer with a unique system warranty and should be returned through the system manufacturer. If you have any questions you may contact Toshiba at 1-877-689-4899. Exp Date: 2024/06/17

As for contacting Toshiba its almost impossible.   

Not sure where this leaves me

Just noted : Must use T-S/N serial number for 3.5" desktop drives

Hopefully Im using the wrong number I will have to recheck my numbers

I've used their RMA process before .....

When and where did you purchase the drive?

The drive has just recently been bought via amazon.Interestingly I have managed to get a least one reply from my various contact attempts :-

"Hello,

After consulting with Toshiba, it is no longer necessary to register Toshiba hard drives.
The warranty period is valid from the date of purchase.

Registration is intended for other devices such as notebooks etc.

This is more hopeful and I might reply with the warranty checker link and comments it gave. Ive also thought about chasing Amazon to confirm. Feeling a bit better but still not 100% convinced. Hopefully it will never be an isssue.

I dont have a T SN just a serial number on my drive I was hoping I just got the wrong numbers.
