Google WiFi us nodes and uk nodes
is anybody using google WiFi nodes and using an extra one to mix the us ones from eglobal and uk ones and all working fine or is there a difference cheers I don't know that kit, but in general terms, in USA the legally permitted maximum transmit power for Wi-Fi is higher than in the EU so any US equipment (or equipment that's been told it's in the US - some have a setting when you ascribe the country of use) might be blowing out the OfCom regs. Of course, you'd have to have someone shop you to get caught - I don't think there are any "Wi-Fi Detector Vans" prowling the country. At one time the permitted radio channels also differed, but I haven't looked into that for ages. Over time there have been efforts internationally to harmonise them.Beyond that, the Wi-Fi standards - it terms of the bits and bytes and so forth - are the same worldwide.
Personally, I wouldn't take the chance unless I were prepared to "write off" the cost if it doesn't work or I could buy from somewhere with a good returns policy. It would be preferable to buy something that one can be sure will integrate with the existing fleet. I don't know much about us and uk nodes. But if you face any connection problem coz of router login issue then this wifi admin access might help you in resolving it.
