I enjoyed myself a lot, but I am a die hard sci-fi fan who loves anything in this genre. Yes, it borrows heavily from THX, Spielberg, etc, but I think that's why it held a nostalgic place in my heart. I can see why people might not like the ending, but it was a nice twist for me.
Thought the chemistry between the actors was neat too. Nice to see some fresh talent in Hollywood. Some of the scenes were a bit too long though I will say that
