Hi all, I am fairly new to comics. When I first started to read comics and wanted a new comic or graphic novel there was a lot of choice.
All I wanted was to know what comics are worth reading, what's the best etc?
I've, admittedly, not at this stage done much research but I've struggled to find a concise website which has a database of comics and a review based system. I've spent a few minutes but not much searching. Short of reviews on websites such as Amazon I couldn't see any large database set out in a concise way.
I would appreciate if you can take a quick look at the below website, which I've quickly and very basically drafted out to get a very rough idea of the site I'd eventually like to build.
Basically I'd like a database / community rating many comics within a specific category. As you can see Marvel >> Spider-Man and then within the Spider-Man board I'd like reviews on as many Spider-man comics each with a rating system, so the highest rated Spider-man comics appear at the top and the lowest at the bottom. Rating system still to be decided.
I just like the idea of someone wanting to buy a new comic or get into a new series etc or if you're just new to comics and struggling to start, then you have an easy reference with which character you like and then you can go from there based on reviews of several comics within that character.
Any feedback would be appreciated, Be as negative as you like. This is a new and basic idea at the moment so it's still very early doors.
