Treadmill and rowing machine needed

Have finally got some cash spare to buy a few machines to get myself and the wife in shape.

I want a rowing machine, she wants a treadmill. Have budgeted about £1200 to get both, preferably second hand.

Bear in mind that I'm in Ireland, although can take delivery to Northern Ireland. Even at that, most people/companies will charge a bomb for delivery off the mainland.

Second hand concept 2 rowers seem to be the forum favourite at around half your budget, not sure about treadmills.

Edit: the Horizon Elite 507 was recommended last year and should/could be in budget secondhand

Yep, the Concept 2 is within your budget and is the worlds most popular rowing machine, used in almost every gym and worth the extra money over cheaper alternatives. I have one and it's great!

No idea on treadmills either though I'm afraid. I prefer the open road when I go for a run so I've never looked into them. They also take a up a lot of space and to get a gym spec treadmill equivalent of the Concept 2 you are talking £Thousands!

Yeah I'm not a huge fan of treadmills either but the wife is.

I'll check out the concept and the horizon.
