1080p PC Gaming on 4k TV

I'm thinking of upgrading my 1080p Plasma to an oled 4k in the future but intend to stick with 1080p gaming on the PC for a while longer as I do not want to upgrade it. How would 1080p games look on the 4k tv? Does the Graphics Card or TV upscale to 4k to stop it looking bad? I play driving and fighting games on the TV and use a 1080p monitor for shooters.

I'd recommend the 9600GT for those specific purposes, however any modern graphics card could upscale it without too much quality loss. It also depends how far you are from the screen.
