Been off here for many, many yrs, mainly due to being self employed, and working my ass round the clock...

Now i got more time from working my ass off 12 hrs a day, i went n bought myself a new 65" 4k hdr hisense tv 4 days ago..
And yep, STILL got my 2 xbox 360 boxes here lol...

Question is chaps - i,m obviously going for the new xbox one console, but which one to buy ?

Is it really worth like near another £200  for the One X over the S ? - really ?
Obviously i,m gonna see a big jump in graphics from the 360 to the xbox one s.
But is it really worth the money for the X version ?

Well there are a few things to consider.

1) The Xbox One X is significantly more powerful than the S, the S is really the same hardware that launched all the way back in 2013, the X is not. X enhanced Xbox One games look a lot better on a 4K TV than S titles do, it's not really HDR but the major resolution bump that is the more desirable feature IMO.

2) The X also receives enhanced visual upgrade patches to Xbox 360 titles running under back compat, the S model does not get these patches (some comparisons) so if you want your old X360 library looking nice on a 4K TV this is the way to go.

3) The X will last longer if you intend to hold onto it for as long as your X360 consoles, the next gen Xbox is all but guaranteed to launch in 2020.

Ultimately it's up to you to decide if the above is worth it (I think it is), there are some second X consoles being sold on Amazon and elsewhere for around £300.

Thanks for reply my friend..

Would you and the others on here, recommend buying an ONE X now, or hang off till next yr, to see what new xbox is coming out ?

How much more can they improve  on the currant xbox one X ?

Still using the two xbox 360's i had away from the very beginning in 2005, when they first came out..One white, and the other is a black elite one

It's suspected via leaks the next gen standard/base Xbox will have the graphics performance of the XB1X but a better CPU and SSD internal storage.

There will be a higher performing next gen Xbox (equivalent to XB1X) but it's specs are still up in the air.

If your not too fussed about frame rates & graphics then the XB1X will do fine as games will still be released on the X, there will be trade in offers for XB1X owners when next gen Xbox comes along too.
