got the lad an Xbox one s and the controller only connects occasionally most of the time the light just flashes on the controller then just goes off!.
My black controller works fine on it,anybody got any ideas?cheers

Yes mate still no luck it's driving me mad!just had to take battery out and put it back it to get a connection! But who knows how long that will work! Cheers

Is it possible to 'delete' the connection and re-link it?

Yeah there is some weird behavior with Xbox controllers, could be faulty or could be bugs, it's very hard to pin down.

I never experienced the disconnects until the august update then started getting them after that (original X1) with my black controller, eventually after more updates they went away.  Got the Xbox One S controller thinking it would fair better but every now and then they creep back in, seemingly random.

It's like the controller itself is crashing it wont respond to any inputs, even physically connecting via cable wont make the console see the controller. Pulling power forces a reboot of the controller then it reconnects.

This general problem existed long before the X1S did but perhaps there is some other issue using the X1S controllers on original X1 units, just don't know one way or the other.
