So how do digital games work? As for being tied to the console. What kind of memory cards fit into the 3dsxl?

If I buy a bigger one how do I get my games and stuff on that one? Can I just redownload from the store? Or do I have to transfer the information somehow?

I'm running out of space after buying 3 games digital and I want to get another one but don't have the space. I had to delete a bunch of demos to get the third one on there.

I hope it's easier than the friend code debacle.

I've got a 16gb card with lots of eshop and a few retail digital releases on it. You can directly transfer from one sd card to another on your pc. I followed Nintendo's advice on their website (can't link to it at work), just make a backup of the files somewhere on your desktop just in case something goes wrong in the transfer.

Ahh, ok, thanks.  Didn't know it would work like a typical transfer.  Thought the formatting may screw things up.  I found last night that it's a standard SDHC card so I'll pick up a 32gb so I don't have to keep swapping stuff around.
