Nintendo Network ID

Can anyone tell me if there is a difference between Nintendo Club login and a Nintendo Network ID login. Trying to download a demo and saying I need to register a Network ID, I've tried entering my Club details but says these are incorrect however I know there aren't as I can log in on the computer fine.

No they're different. If your 3Ds has the latest firmware then you'll have an icon for the Miiverse at the top of your touch screen. Press that and you set up your Nintendo Network ID.
