Cheers sir. That’s good to know.

I’m considering one to drive my active speakers.

After a recent firmware update there's now   - buttons to the right of the slider in the app to control volume as well

Have had the system setup now for a few days as I was in Italy over the weekend and it does sound nice but not 100% satisfied.. their is too much base and I'm needing to dial it back on the node 2i -4db and this then robs the sound of midrange and richness..... It's not as spacious a sound as I was looking for and heard with an audiolab 6000a using its ess dac and Dali Oberon 5 speakers... The speakers are 40cm away from the rear walls and a good distance apart forming a triangle to my seating position.   I think I might try and get a home demo of an audiolab 6000n streamer with the same dac as the matching amp Iv heard... Hopefully dts play fi support Amazon music hd soon as this would make it an easier option as this is why I opted for a node 2i as they currently support it

I bought the 6000N last week, I returned it today as the Play-Fi app was truly awful!!
It would freeze and hesitate when playing 24bit/192khz tracks from Amazon HD, it played lower quality tracks ok though, the app also crashed a few times during the few hours I tested it, seriously frustrating as when I did manage to hear a bit of an ultra hd/24bit192khz track via the the 6000N & 6000A it sounded superb.

The 6000N seems to be a good bit of kit, but it's completely let down by the Play-Fi app in my experience! So I'm looking at options for streaming Amazon HD music myself now, such as the Node 2i your using!

The bluesound app is one of the best out there. If your getting boomy bass it will be your room causing it. I had this problem I had a play with speaker positioning and also added room treatments now the sound is fantastic smooth right through no more overblown bass. Just to add unruly bass is my main bug bare I can't stand it totally ruins my enjoyment of music hopefully you will sort it out.

Sad to hear this, I have heard that the play fi software is not great hence why I went for a bluesound node 2i.   The bluos in the node 2i is amazing and it's a great streamer and you should def check it out and use the dac in your 6000a amp as it's better and you wouldn't notice a difference in sound if using the node 2i as transporter connected via the digital output... What speakers are you using with the 6000a amp may I ask

I'm using Q3050i speakers with the 6000A, very happy with the sound, but always looking at other options. Upgraditis has got me recently!
