Ecobee 3 controlling a Community Hall used for a variety of youth activities etc. Ecobee 3 calculates the optimum time to come on so the temperature just reaches the desired value as the kids arrive.
We halved the gas bill compared with the year before which used a Drayton programmer!

Hi there, thanks for getting back to me.
I have 3 Ecobee 3's which have all come with 1 sensor each. I will add more maybe at a later date. Yes, as you stated, I have a Worcester Bosch gas boiler. It was a combi boiler but my boiler guy has hooked it up to a megaflo tank so am using it as a conventional boiler. I have had it wired up as 3 zones. Heating upstairs, heating downstairs and underfloor heating in the kitchen so an Ecobee3 for each zone. Yes there is a zone valve for each zone and a 4th for hot water, I am having to manually switch them on and off at the moment. I am in Reading RG31.

I also have a gas Bosch Worcester boiler, three zone valves regulating downstairs radiators, upstairs radiators, and HW cylinder. Three Ecobee3 units and 10 remote sensors, over the top but great diagnostics! I replaced existing 240v wall thermostats with Ecobee3. For HW placed a remote sensor in the lagging alongside Drayton cylinder thermostat. My HW E3 is mounted on a Drayton programmer body and replaces the original Drayton HW time-clock in the kitchen. If I ever need to move house reinstating the original system will take less than an hour. I am near Gatwick.
Am presently sick with the horrendous cold and cough doing the rounds here!

Ive had a completely new install in the whole house and had 5 core wires fed through to the locations where I want the Ecobee3's. The wires have not been connected up at either end though. I was almost at the point of giving up on looking for someone so you are an absolute saviour. I dont know if I can get a contact number or email address. Ive just had people in who say its impossible to connect up the Ecobees to a UK boiler even when ive shown them your messages on this thread. I hope you get better really soon and can help me with this, as I said I felt almost defeated up until you messaged me. Kind Regards, Rahul

Hi there,
Hope you are feeling better. Just wondering if you got my last message and if its a job you would consider taking on?

Hi,
As with the other poster, I wonder if you would able to take on this project, as a consultant, to let my electrician and builder know how to fit the Ecobee in my London house. We are doing a complete rebuild of the interior, and have stripped out all the elections and replacing floors, a new boiler and so on. A perfect opportunity to install a heating system that is completely up to date. I intent to install underfloor heating throughout the property, in multiple zones - extensions, kitchen, hallway and 3 bedrooms. Would Ecobee be good for this (with sensors). Do let me know. Thanks - Nigel

Hi Nigell123 and Rahul1974.
Pleased to assist but my spare time is rather limited, so must be realistic. I live near Gatwick. What is the secure way of exchanging email addresses on this site? I don’t want to inform the entire planet!
