My bathroom has lots of Hue GU10's and 1 Fan over the shower with integrated GU5.3 bulb. Has anyone successfully bought a GU5.3 and used it with Hue? I bought the Osram but it didn't work

Even if you found a bulb that worked you'd then have the problem that smart bulbs need permanent power to work which means the fans running as well.

You could use one of these units

Wired into just the fan. I have one of those myself controlling an outdoor floodlight and it works very well for me.

For my fan I went for a decidedly lowtech solution and added a separate pull cord for the fan and a single non hue spot over the shower, I added the spot as without a light in the circuit it was too easy to leave the fan on. I do plan on adding another ZigBee controller to add it to hue eventually though.

Which question and answer are you referring to?

There's 1 question that says it works with the Hue Hub, another that doesn't, I've tried and it didn't work for me.

I was referring to the answer posted in January 2019. Which said not. I'd told not to mix up manufacturers devices. I see the Amazon description suggest it is. Have your tried contacting Osram, and asking them?

I'm not interested in the Osram bulb, i've tried it, it didn't work and returned it. I'm asking if anyone has successfully integrated a GU5.3 of any other make
