I bought this TV from Argos in 2009,would it have actually have been made by Hitachi,as I have read somewhere that they didnt stop making there own TVs until 2012?is that correct?

Secondly I believe that the TV has developed a fault IE have a DVD Recorder connected via Scart on EXT 1,normally when I want to play a DVD,and watch it on the TV,as soon as the DVD Recorder is switched on the TV picks this up and it automatically changes from TV to EXT1.When I switch off the DVD Recorder the TV reverts to TV.
Yesterday,I tried to watch a DVD on the tv using the DVD Recorder,and although it tried to switch,it didnt and seemed to be stuck ob Channel DVB 806 which is an Adult Channel?would this be an Anologue Channel by any chance?
I have swapped the Scart Cables but the same fault occurs,i this a fault on a TV component? or does it mean that I am looking at having to replace the TV? Anybody else had a problem like this?

Not sure about the issue you have been having, but the TV is manufactured by Vestel, as are most Hitachi branded TV's for the past 10 years  years.
