Afternoon people

I am after some guidance, I am looking at getting a good spec laptop and am willing to buy second hand if needs be... I have seen so far:

Asus Zephyrus with i7, 1080 15 inch screen

Alienware M15 and M17 - both 8th gen i7 / i9 with lower spec 1070 or 2060

or

PCSpecialists - they can do a 17 inch with 144hz screen, i7 8th gen and 32gb ram, 512ssd, 2060 / 2070 for around £1600

So myquestion is really - do I stick with the branded laptops even if it means they may be refurb or second hand or spec a new PCS one and not have the "Kudos" brand naming etc??

Might sound shallow - but sod it lol

Clevo are just as big and as established a brand as Dell and Asus even if they don't have their badge on the front.

Agree. Clevo provide the base for a lot of the laptops.
Alienware are massively overpriced for what you get. You are paying for the name and a few flashy lights.

As the others have said. Clevo produces a lot of the shells and can build it up with components alike.

Another element not to forget which may or may not be as important is screen quality and weight. Often that is where others can really set themselves apart.
