Presumably that's two 4GB sticks?

I don't see any obvious compatibility issues.

Yes, it's two 4gb sticks, though I've never really been convinced that the majority of people could tell the difference between single and dual channel. I'm pretty certain that I couldn't without using benchmarking software.

Do you ever sleep?

I'm pretty certain that you've been the first person to answer on at least 60% of the posts questions that I've ever asked on this forum over the last 5-6 years. Or maybe you're an experimental AI. Like Siri, but slightly less murderous?

It was more the amount rather than the dual channel, 4GB and an 8100 wouldn't have been a very balanced system for the use you're buying for.

I suppose I got onto the internet after usenet but before Myspace/facebook/etc. so forums are my default idle distraction.
