I was gong through the exact same thing about a month ago and bought the Fire Tab 8HD as i liked the size of it and after putting a SD card in it i have loads of media on there to watch. Plus as a prime member i downloaded a lot of tv series such as Grand Tour to also watch on my travels.
Putting the Google play store on there takes literally about five minutes. Also worth remembering is that prime day is coming 15th and the cost of the fire tabs likely to be a huge amount cheaper and i am looking to grab a Fire tab 7 to use around the house as a controller and i believe last year the 7 was round 35 quid and 8 around 50 so that may or may not sway you.
I've also used my 8 for the odd internet surf and it's not as good as my iPhone XR or even an iPad i actually really like how cheap it is and is literally used as a media device for travelling to work and while i am at work |
