I would like to connect my new amazon fire tablet 7" 2017 model to my tv.

I would like to buy a micro usb to hdmi cable.

Is there an alternative method?

I don’t think that will work with the basic 7 inch tablet. You may need to buy a Fire TV stick or use Chromecast.
