Small cameras normally only come with a wrist strap so perhaps the op would like to replace that. I must admit though, using a fancy strap on a compact would be a bit much.

The Matin one I mentioned is far from fancy I bought it based on a review I saw where this came out on top for comfort, and it just so happened to be significantly cheaper than the others

Lol you misunderstood me Snerks. I meant fancy as in anything more substantial than the included wrist strap. Kind of like using a sledgehammer to crack a walnut.

What, don't you use a sledgehammer for that?

Unfortunately for some mate, I have been known to wield a sledgehammer now and again.

Had a quick look at that strap, as I'd like something a bit more comfy for my 70D. However there were a few issues with the attachment rings causing damage? Anybody had any problems?

Maybe you're looking at the wrong one, there's no rings to attach it, the ends of the strap just loop through camera loops.
