Hi,

Going Prague in 2 weeks with the wife and would like to know fi anyone has any recommendations for places to eat/drink and things to possibly see/do.

I've heard you can get some real good food but to beware or touristy type places as you'll pay more?

A friend suggested the dancing house as it has great views of the city. Not looked into it yet though.

We are staying at the hotel pod vizi which is near Charles Bridge I believe.

I've looked at a taxi from the airport and it seems to be around 30/35 gbp if booked prior to leaving. Yet public transport is a couple of quid?

Anyone know how easy it is to uae/navigate on public transport?

Thanks

Eat and drink. I dont know what youre into however for beer and proper czech food i recommend lokal, there are a few of them in prague they are proper beer halls frequented by locals and the foods good too! A really nice burger place is called “the street” they also do really nice cocktails too. Talking about cocktails one of favourite cocktail bars is called “cash only” its the smaller sister of hemmingway bar. For steaks i recommend jama steakhouse.

Things to see and do obvs the castle personally i wouldnt pay to get in you wont miss much as the majority of the sights in the area you can get into for free. Charles bridge which will be constantly heaving for photos of an empty bridge get up at the crack of sparrows. Wander round the old town. Go and visit the synagogue where the golem is supposed to be etc etc.

Navigating on public transport is easy so i wouldnt bother with a cab also never use a cab in prague as they are notorious for ripping visitors off.

I recommend you watch some videos on you tube look up “honest guide prague” and he covers how to get from the airport to the old town, where to eat/drink, what to do and not to do etc etc.

Hope this helps, enjoy prague!
