I had a single TV able to receive both Freesat & Freeview via a diplexed connection from the satellite dish and terrestrial aerial. In my naiveite I thought I would be able to distribute the same to all rooms, and add CCTV, using a Loft Box and bought a Labgear LDU608G, not realising this was all about Sky and RF signal return. So - I now have the following questions... Apologies for my ignorance.

The box distributes the terrestrial signal fine with the Sat/ CCTV & TV switch set to CCTV & TV. Can I add satellite TV without a RF return signal? Would a diplexed input to the Loft Box be distributed OK? I need to cable an additional point anyway as want to relocate the TV in my lounge, and I could provide a return to the Loft Box, but I don't want Sky. I assume, 'though, that a satellite box would need to be connected for this to work?

Thanks for any help to this Newbie!

You cannot use one LNB for two satellite boxes and have access to all the frequencies (at most you can use one Sat Receiver as master and the other one Slave to access only part of the frequencies ...which is nonsense). Instead you'll need a Twin LNB (having two independent pair of oscillators). You'll also need a Sat receiver, of course.
