They always have been. Although I am not sure that is what they are doing here - quite the opposite - they are seizing the opportunity to embarrass Cameron and keep England down.

Which will slowly strangle them if it isn't already.

From this morning's daily Red Box email from The Times ...

That is quite a clever move by Nicola, as people will no doubt draw parallels with Margaret's incredible successful career. Colours are the same as well

I thought it was funny when they blocked Sunday trading laws.

So did I - it did after all show how ineffective the supposed national Government is.

No, its all about relative priorities Sonic. Westminster has shown the English it is incapable of passing basic legislation to allow larger shops to open concurrent with people coming home from a Sunday out or when they commute back to work. If they can't do something as easy as that, how can they be expected to exclusively run a country? It makes the need for the EU all the greater to compensate for the inadequacies of Westminster.

Thankfully, like most who live in Scotland, I am buffered from this inadequacy. But I have properties in London, Warwickshire and Hampshire so can see the importance of compensating for the Westminster shortfall.

So the SNP getting involved with a law regarding shops opening in England is a failure of Westminster?

Brilliant. Is there nothing where Westminster isn't to blame? Or that can't be solved by giving up our power to Brussels?

The SNP play the system - you can't blame them for that. In the meantime Westminster can't get big shops open at 6pm on Sunday. Total failure. Thank goodness the EU is here for the important stuff!
