I made that comment And it was prior to the referendum and specifically in context to abortion laws. I am very pleased to see common sense prevailed

It was the hypocrisy that really bothered me about it, and dare I say in general about the Church

Those priests and bishops and their ilk are such hypocrites, how dare they lecture women on what they can do with their bodies! They shouldn't be allowed host a pre-marriage course or anything like that.  The whole lot should be rounded up and make accountable, instead of living in big parochial houses being waited on by Mrs. Doyle types who do their laundry and make their food, while the church owns huge tracts of incredibly valuable land. Should be handed back to the state pronto.

So will N.Ireland be next since it's now the only area of the British Isles where abortion is outlawed?

Given that we are still part of the UK, should all those outraged at 'backward' Ireland not now be putting pressure on their own government to to bring N.I into line with the rest of the UK/Ireland/Europe?

It's a disgrace. Hopefully the UK Govt will start to pay for women to be treated in Ireland.

Does the minority Tory govt have the balls to push the issue with the DUP? Might require another bung.

I don't think the Tories should impose this. It's a devolved issue.

They should call for a referendum and ask the main parties including the DUP to respect the result.

Should have had an ultimatum on reconvening the Assembly by a deadline or lose executive powers
