This clip makes you feel the danger the Iraelis are in. Just imagine if you were living with their constant fear of surprise attack, then suddenly you are experiencing just that. I have no idea what film it is taken from.

Its from some film, or part complete project, I don't know.  Can anyone identify it ?

I wouldn't like to be there at the time of that close nuclear detonation. I imagine it would be very hot.

Amazing New Video Footage:

dated  23/2/2013 (reconstructed in 2014 from data on a Flash Drive?)

and posted on Youtube 6/03/2012.

So I'm not sure what the point is as it's obviously fake. Is it "this is what it might be like?"

Of course its fake. Its obviously part of some movie project, short film or somesuch.

You see people going about their daily business and suddenly their country is under attack. This is what they live with. We don't.

But yeah its obviously a drama. I'd like to know what it is so I can get hold of it to watch.

Yeah, sorry, just watched it:
It's called "The Last Day" according to the credits, where the actors are listed. Possibly a student project or some such?

Edit:

Found this:  WATCH: Israeli short film depicts Iran nuclear attack scenario |  972 Magazine

So it looks like that youtube link is the complete film.

So are the Israeli's also in danger of Godzilla attacking because I saw that in a movie once too?

Sorry for the sarcasm.  It's just that using a clip from a completely fictitious random movie to highlight your point that the people from the shining light of the Middle East are living in fear of possible nuclear attack from Iran seems a little propaganda-like.

What are your thoughts on the actual inspectors' statement that Iran hasn't shown any changes in nuclear research since the original deal was signed (as per the agreement)?  I assume you'd take the word of Trump and a Powerpoint presentation from Netanyahu over them?

We lived through the same fear in the 70's/80's.

I was going to point out the same sort of thing - not just very real terrorist bombings from 'the troubles', but also the fear of nuclear attack over the Cuban missile crisis in the 60's etc.

The fear we had / still ought to have, about nuclear war, is a very different situation to what the Israelis fear and face.

In terms of the possibilty of nuclear war, that would be the result of a world conflict gone wrong and it would pretty much be an end of civilisation. Fairly unlikely but so awful we prefered to be in denial of it. But we weren't at serious risk or in fear of hostilities breaking out against our island, short of nuclear attack. As for terrorism, statistically it was so unlikely you'd be caught up in it outwith hotspots of N.I. you could effectively ignore it.

The situation with Israel is quite different. They are surrounded by states and/or peoples, who want them gone and many of whom harbour a deeply ingrained hatred towards them for what they are. They have had to fight wars of national survival before and fear it happening again. The prospect of nuclear war remains remote, even in a scenario of another war, yet that too, is a possibilty. They also live with a high incidence of terror atttacks, particularly in border areas of that small country.

Being so small, so surrounded and so hated, the prospect of future invasion by massive combined miiltary forces, even with conventional warfare methods, remains large in their minds. That and the likely treatment they would suffer in the event of being overrun. This, is a quite a different situation and feeling, to what we in the UK faced.
