Come on people, post your results (good or bad).

I am going to upgrade my driving hardware to Fanatec (or similar), so will have a Logitech G27 wheel, peddles and shifter up for sale sometime soon.
Can anyone recommend which to get?
I have just bought a SST shifter for when I race old school (Lotus mainly).
and also a Fanatec handbrake (for when I play Dirt Rally).
                                Not even mounted them yet.

What's your budget?

I can recommend a load cell pedal set as top priority any models will blow those Logitech pedals out of the water. Your pricing starts relatively low with the CSL Elite Pedals and then starts ramping up to CSP V3's, Protosimtech PT-2, CSP V3 Inverted, Heusinkveld Pro's and then beyond that a lot more money.

In terms of price to performance ratio I'd rank the CSL top, then PT-2 (very hard to get hold of though), Heusinkveld, V3, V3 inverted.

Performance is pretty much in line with cost with the outlier being the PT-2's which are much better than the V3 inverted which are pretty much V3's with damper included and different lever throws.

If you did go for the V3's do yourself a favour and get the brake performance kit without it the CSL actually have a better feel.

In terms of wheel bases I wouldn't personally go worse than a CSL Elite or TS-PC level because unlike the G27 the models below have pretty poor reliability. A CSW V2.5 will give you better construction/looks and slightly more power but ultimately beyond the CSL I'd recommend going all in on a DD wheel instead which would have a much larger difference in performance and durability.

Can you use the buttons on your wheel to navigate the menus in ACC?
On AC I had to use a wireless mouse when I sat at the wheel

Yep, they’ve added control options now to let you assign buttons.

Budget wise, probably a CSL or CSP for peddles (£200-£400).
Wheel base probably the CSW at the most (£400 incl wheel)
Cant really stretch to DD.
don't object to used either.

The VR update is live, although it's not without it's issues.
It seems to need SteamVR closed before running the app.
Ctrl   Space to reset the VR view.
