Will admit, never  been in bed holding a tablet in that manner.
Phone on a very rare occasion, but not a tablet.

For tablet use, I lay sideways, head on pillow, and use edge of pillow to also prop up tablet at the same angle my eyes are at

Combination of Mattress Surface, Pillow angle and Duvet end for support and we have a winner

It has been known however, just a couple of times for me to fall asleep and due to some movement tablet falls forward towards face and top of screen hits the nose!

Yes but in this case mobility was limited ... Knee operation meant very limited positions  so had to be on back.

I'm there right now but an ankle not knee operation and I'm also having to lie on my back and can't turn sideways. I wouldn't want to drop my Surface Pro on my face, that  beast would definitely smash teeth if dropped.

You should meet up and be on your back side by side, to offer safer support and could watch the same tablet

Bloody Wuss's anyway.
Lightweight tablet hit my face?

A REAL MAN would do something like this......

As long as you don't roll over in the night, and whilst sleeping push one of the table legs over a few more inches

It didn't, I'm not that cack handed.

If it did it would have been the least of my problems.

Totally off topic but may be of personal interest.  Washing one's body with a open but healing  wound is very problematic. I have a washing sock. Basically a 2 to 3 foot heavy polyethene tube with a closed end and an open end. The open end has a rubber ring, into which one inserts the wounded leg. The rubber ring acts like a grommet. I can assure you that it is totally waterproof. These are available in chemists etc. Much much better than half assed solutions of using cling film or plastic bags which may or may not work. 20 quid for piece of mind. You seriously don't want water getting close to a wound near bone.
