Need a data plan for my Ipad

I have just got an ipad with 3g/4g

Its to be used with my DJI Phantom 4 drone

Is there a data plan that does not expire on a monthly basis?

I don't want to be spending £10/month for data I will rarely use

Edit: I am with Virgin for my mobile and they have offered £5/month for 1gb data which rolls over
