I have been deciding if I should go for the standard stainless steel band or the space black. I think I have settled on the standard for the same reasons as you i.e is it going to scratch and keeping it in good condition. I think the space black will be more prone to scratching easily where as the standard will/should be fine.

I think its a certainty that these watches will not be an investment. I will be buying Apple Care which will certainly guarantee a good battery for the next few years and 'should' be a good selling point in a year or two if I wanted to sell it.

Hi ianeb, I'm just speaking about the build in Workout app on app screen.
I would appreciate it.

I just chose 'indoor run' and it stays lit up longer than normal but still went off after roughly 10-15 seconds. When you lift your wrist or touch the screen the info comes back

OK thanks for letting me know.
I wish they had the option to set the screen on time.

Does the watch sync back all emails and texts received or is it only from when you get the watch onwards?

Syncs back emails. Texts from when watch activated. At least that's what mine does.

I have emails showing on my watch from 3-4 days ago, so it syncs more than just from when activated

My initial reaction (sport 38 mm) is that it's going to be a fun gadget to play with. Certainly not essential or life changing but if you're geeky and like tech then it's a great buy. Really nicely made and liking the ui on my first few hours.
Was at the cinema last night and it vibrated to warn me I'd be sat down for too long and should consider standing up....
Getting a text on it was great fun, and making calls on it (whilst in the privacy of my own home obviously) seriously made me feel like I was in the future!
