As it happens the only Harley I've here seen just now is on the back of a recovery vehicle, broken down it would seem. Very quiet everywhere, we are the only customers in the restaurant.

Yep, might check out that railway.

Had a wander earlier.

Lovely Victorian station.

A coffee in this hotel lobby.

Back to the room after dinner, wife needs to watch Corrie

Again a rainy start to the day. Through the forests and hills of the Cairngorms.

Grouse everywhere.

The house looked surprised to see us.

Passed a few ski lifts. Some were open for the ride but the wife was having none of it.

Over one of IK Brunel's across the Dee to the gates of Balmoral.

Sights along the way.

A village library.

Checked into a hotel at Pitlochry

Dont know if your planning to go into Angus but if you do I recommend looking at the caterhuns.
Also you will be able to see some of the pictish stones just left at road sides.
Also there is a place called reekie linn which is a waterfall.

A walk through town.

To the dam and info centre.

Had dinner in an Italian tonight.

Wow! I never knew quite how diverse and beautiful Scotland really was. I've only ever ventured to Edinburgh and Sterling but it looks like me and the fiance might need to take a little road trip next summer.

Avoided the boring A9 and headed in the general direction of Perth on the smaller roads.

Found ourselves at Scone Palace.

Had to have a scone at Scone.

Then towards Edinburgh. The new bridge caused chaos on the M90 but Maps bypassed a lot of it.

Went to the riverside to see the old one.

Then skirted past Edinburgh for now to Carberry where we checked in for the last 2 nights.

A lovely mansion house. Far removed from the shed we camped in earlier.
