Nope, two brand new copies of Silverthorn and Darkness of Sethanon on my desk waiting for me this monring. I have old trade paper back editions of them myself, sadly missing out on the first three books in hardback form. data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

I am currently reading book 13 of the Wheel of Time.Love this series and Sanderson is doing a fine job of finishing these books.I have been reading these for nearly 20 years now I think data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

I also like the Terry Brooks Shannara novels a lot although I felt the last one was not the best.

Read about 4 of the Steven Ericsson books but struggling to get much further.

I also have The Darkness that Comes Before by R Scott Bakker but I have not got into them.

The David Gemmell books are worth reading if you like fantasy books.

Halfway through the fourth Fire and Ice book by George R.R. Martin. Absolutely tremendous. Proper adult fantasy with some proper nasty characters. He relly doesn't pull any punches and you don't get the feeling that any of the characters are immune to death. Anything can happen at any time.

Masterful building of suspense in places, superbly written battle scenes and an epic scope. Brilliant reading.

Finished The Towers of Midnight by Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson. Great read. Can't wait for the final book of the series to be published, it's been a long, long journey.

Btw, has anyone read 'The True Game' by Sherri S Tepper. It's an old series, but well worth a read imo.

Fantastic, can't wait. Might need to read them again to refresh on what's happened so far.

I haven't yet read beyond the third book, way back in 2003. The fourth, unopened, is sitting on a shelf above Stephen Donaldson's third 'Thomas Covenant' novels, another series awaiting the release of the final part. I'm yet to read any of these too.

I can't believe it's been eight years since I first heard about the 'A Song of Fire and Ice' novels. Or that 'A Feast For Crows' has sat unread on a shelf for over five years.

The final part of this series came out a month ago at least.

That was the third of four, as noted here: Stephen R. Donaldson - Official Website
